How Oprah Stuck to Her New Year’s Resolutions

In a few days it will be February, the official month New Year’s resolutions end; the month when gyms return to their equilibrium, when “hot bods in 2016!” turn to “nacho bods in 2016!” and our future better selves shuffle off to die in an elephant graveyard of goals and aspirations. Oh, also, Valentine’s Day!

But that’s not what February means to Oprah, who is more or less impervious to failure. She announced via Twitter that she has not only stuck to her Weight Watchers resolutions, she’s lost 26 pounds (while still eating bread every day), and earned over $12.5 million (because WW stock jumped from $2 to $13 after her announcement).

Now, one could see this as another Oprah inspirational moment, recommit oneself to being BETTER IN 2016, fire up those Weight Watchers apps, and  head back to the gym. But, because only Oprah gets $12.5 million for eating bread every day, I suggest that one just enjoy the Return to Nacho month with relish — and extra cheese.
