We’ve all been there. Well, not specifically there, but in a similar situation. After attending Yeezy Season Three at Madison Square Garden, Anna Wintour got lost in the mazelike basement of Madison Square Garden, a story she told on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night. Wintour was, as is her wont, extremely early for the show, so much so that she was completely alone in the VIP section for some time. (“This is so sad, Anna. This is you sitting alone,” Meyers said, showing the photo that made the internet rounds.)
After weathering both the fashion show and the Life of Pablo concert, Wintour decided to slip out a little early. “I slid into the basement of Madison Square Garden, and I was lost there for half an hour asking various people to let me out. I was really in tears.” Luckily, Wintour wasn’t forced to take up permanent residence in MSG. After reenacting the movie Labyrinth for 30 minutes, she was finally recognized by a security guard — but weirdly, not as Vogue EIC and Condé Nast artistic director Anna Wintour, but as Baseball Mom Anna Wintour. (The guard was her son’s former high-school-baseball coach.) Proof that involving your children in team sports always pays off.
