In an interview with Parents magazine, Ayesha and Steph Curry revealed that their first kiss was phenomenally awkward. The couple met in high school when they were members of the same church youth group, but it wasn’t until Steph traveled to Los Angeles in college that he asked Ayesha out and made the first move:
“I mean, it was friend vibes … until I dodged his first kiss,” Ayesha explained. “He was in mid-conversation and came flying at my face like a thief in the night. So I was like, No. Then I thought, ‘Oh, I didn’t know this is what was happening.’”
Ah yes, like 1 Thessalonians 5:2 says, “Romantic rejection will come just like a thief in the night.”
