’Tis the season for pop stars to release some seriously inspirational grrrl power music videos, and don’t think Hillary Clinton isn’t noticing. HRC made sure to tweet her thanks to Jennifer Lopez for including a soundbyte from one of Clinton’s speeches in the new video for “Ain’t Your Mama.”

Jennifer Lopez’s video for “Ain’t Your Mama” is chock-full of visual and aural cues to important moments in pop culture and politics, from her low-key Network vibe to the quotes she peppers in at the very beginning. It kicks off with a clip of Clinton’s speech to the United Nations back in 1995, when she said. “Human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights, once and for all.” It was pretty crazy for someone in politics to say something like that in public back then, and even now it’s hard not to feel inspired.

The video also quotes Patricia Arquette’s speech from the Oscars about equal rights, as well as Gloria Steinem’s 1971 Address to the Women of America. Then J.Lo proceeds to travel through time getting more and more politically aware until she takes to the streets in a full-on Donna Summer “She Works Hard For The Money” dance routine. Whew!
