On Monday, Rihanna announced a new scholarship fund through her Clara Lionel Foundation, which was created in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.

To be eligible, students must live in Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica, or the U.S., and be accepted into a four-year college for the 2016–2017 school year. 50 finalists will be evaluated by a committee for the scholarships, which range from $5,000 to $50,000, based on a variety of qualifications, including a personal essay.
