Hamilton won 11 prizes at last night’s 70th annual Tony Awards, where Broadway stars and celebrities wore a panoply of color, florals, and sleeved dresses to celebrate the industry’s finest. There were in fact so many sleeves: Take Cynthia Erivo in Roberto Cavalli (the same designer who made Beyoncé’s car-smashing yellow dress), Cate Blanchett in Louis Vuitton, and the shimmering floral-printed arms of Daveed Diggs’s jacket. Who else wore long sleeves? Marlee Matlin, Karolína Kurková, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Glenn Close, Laura Benanti, Keri Russell, and Judith Light.
