Hillary Clinton Is Fine With Little Girls Staying Up Late to Watch Her Accept the Presidential Nomination

Hillary Clinton knows who runs the world.

Since her presidential run in 2008 (and for her whole life, really), Hillary Clinton has had her eye on that “highest, hardest glass ceiling.” She cracked it in ‘08, broke it in June when she became the presumptive Democratic nominee, and shattered it last night, when she livestreamed into the Democratic National Convention from New York to accept the Democratic nomination.

The video opened with hundreds of photos of male presidents, which Clinton’s face dutifully smashed through to the sound of shattering glass. After that she had to wait a few minutes for the audience’s cheers to die down, but when they did, Clinton had a message for young girls:

What an incredible honor you have given me — I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in the glass ceiling yet … and, if there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say: I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.
