Kanye Didn’t Call Amber Rose About Being in the ‘Famous’ Video

Amber Rose was there front and center when Kanye had his first run-in with Taylor Swift, way back in 2009 at the MTV Music Video Awards, when Swift won for Best Female Video over Queen Bey’s “Single Ladies” and Kanye interrupted her acceptance speech. Last night on The Amber Rose Show, Rose defended her ex in the latest Kimye-Swift brouhaha, but she was none too pleased about it.

“So, I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye,” the bewigged bombshell began, “but I will say this. You know, I was next to him at the VMAs that year … And I remember the repercussions after that” — from a personal finger-wagging from Mr. and Mrs. Swift themselves, to Lady Gaga canceling their “Fame Kills” tour. Given the fallout from that, Rose reasoned, Kanye wouldn’t have risked the wrath of Swift once again.

“I know that Kanye would never ever go through that again by not calling Taylor and say, ‘Heads up, I’m about to go write this verse real quick. Just wanted to make sure you’re cool with it.’ I know that about Kanye,” she said, later adding, “It wasn’t about Taylor; it was about Beyoncé and her video.”

The real question Amber Rose has is why Kanye (or her buddy Kim K.) didn’t let her know that a reasonably lifelike, wax facsimile of her nude body would be appearing in the video for “Famous.”

“So, I say all of that to say: Why didn’t I get a phone call for using a naked wax figure in your video, Kanye? I mean, Taylor gets a call but I don’t get a call,” she mused, before politely requesting that Kanye “stay the fuck out of the news so I don’t have to talk about your ass no more.”
