New York Fashion Week megaproducer IMG announced today it will host two pop-up shops selling art, accessories, and straight-off-the-runway clothes this season. It’s a first for the company and a sign that, yes, they’re still trying to make Fashion Week more accessible.

Both located in the Meatpacking District, one shop will showcase a brigade of clothing by IMG partners while the other will spotlight jewelry and accessories designers. At F.Y.I. @ MADE New York, you’ll find clothing just seen on the runways at Pyer Moss, Chromat, and Patricia Field. Other brands here include the Blonds, Etienne Derœux, and Tumblr (yes, that Tumblr).

The second pop-up, called the Shop @ NYFW: The Shows, will sell emoji jewelry by Alison Lou; accessories from the likes of A Peace Treaty and Jordan Askill; bespoke artwork by famed street artist Bradley Theodore and Nick Thomm; and Maybelline New York beauty products.

IMG explained its reasons for opening the shops in a statement: “For designers, it’s a unique approach to retail that will help drive awareness and sales during this key moment on the calendar,” said Catherine Bennett, SVP and managing director of fashion events and properties. “For our brand partners, it’s an authentic touch-point that connects them directly with style savvy customers. And for consumers, it’s a chance to experience fashion as an insider; discovering new brands and getting re-acquainted with their favorites.”

The Shop @ NYFW: The Shows (nyfw.com) will be open September 8-11 at 875 Washington St. F.Y.I. @ MADE New York (ma.de) will be open September 12-14 at 449 W. 14th St. Visit both websites for hours and details.
