Lil Yachty

Former Yeezy model Lil Yachty gained recognition for his hit single “1 Night” and “Minnesota” from his debut mixtape Lil Boat, in 2016. In July, the 18-year-old Atlanta native released Summer Songs 2 and became known in hip-hop circles as “King of Teens.”

Yaris Sanchez

Sanchez got her start dabbling in music videos for artists like Rick Ross and French Montana, but the film student found empowerment once she took control of her own imagery. Her debut art exhibition of pinup photos inspired by Bettie Page, called “Never the Girl Next Door,” cemented Sanchez’s status as a modern woman who refuses to be boxed in.

Maluca Mala

Creating what she calls “a Latin-music urban makeover,” the East Village native gives music a new flavor at venues like MoMA’s PS1 and the Governors Ball.

Junglepussy

Counting Erykah Badu, Nicki Minaj, and Lil’ Kim among her fans, this former F.I.T. fashion major has a new album, Pregnant With Success, that touches heavily on sexuality and femininity but with a playful delivery.

Brittany Sky

Sky has already been touted as one of the most noteworthy female DJs by VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors and is known for her fight against the music industry’s sexism.

Lily Lightbourn

Bermudian model Lily Lightbourn was discovered like most on the streets of New York, which has led her to being in shows like Rosie Assoulin and Public School, but her love of spoken word is what’s kept her grounded. She writes about issues in the fashion industry, and finding her identity as a young woman.
