Nina Dobrev Channeled Ryan Lochte and His Gray Hair Color for Halloween

It’s hard to think of this year’s Olympics in Rio without thinking of Ryan Lochte. And it’s hard to think about Ryan Lochte at the Olympics without remembering him and his unfortunate dye job. Lochte, for those who remember, sported a blueish-gray hair color at the Olympics after the chlorine water ravaged his previously bleached hair. It was a total jeah! moment, and a detail that actress Nina Dobrev made sure to not leave out when she dressed up as Lochte for this year’s Halloween.

Nina Dobrev and a friend dressed up as Lochte and Jimmy Feigen, two of the swimmers on this year’s Olympic team. After winning medals for Team USA, Lochte and Feigen were embroiled in an international scandal after Lochte claimed they’d been robbed at gunpoint (something that turned out to be untrue). Aside from that, though, the two swimmers experienced firsthand what happens when bleached hair meets chlorinated water. Thanks to Dobrev and her friend, it’s a look and a lesson that we won’t be forgetting about anytime soon.
