Another one bites the dust. New York–based label Suno, designed by Erin Beatty and Max Osterweis, is closing up shop, per a BoF report. The brand’s resort 2017 collection will be its last.

Inspired by the colorful kanga fabrics he saw on his trips to Kenya, Osterweis founded the print-centric company in 2008. Suno soon expanded beyond the kanga-based designs, winning the CFDA’s Swarovski Award for best new women’s designer five years later. The brand also developed a modest celebrity following: Rihanna and Kerry Washington were among those to step out in Beatty and Osterweis’s designs.

Next season of New York Fashion Week is starting to look a little light: In addition to the Suno news, last week Hugo Boss announced it would not show in February, and Vera Wang is also bowing out of doing a runway show, in favor of a short film showcasing her collection.
