How a 3-D-Printed Met Gala Dress Came Together

On the Met Gala 2019 red carpet, Jourdan Dunn wore a dress that looked like a rose, made of plastic. It was one of five 3-D-printed Met Gala dresses created by Zac Posen and a team of engineers at General Electric. In the interactive below, we asked Posen to explain the engineering behind Dunn’s ruby-red gown.
