In the early hours of Friday morning, a lunar eclipse in stubborn Taurus shakes up the astrological landscape. All eclipses bring major, typically unexpected, and utterly necessary transformation: They push you in directions you’d be afraid to go on your own, they force you to think through the uncomfortable questions about your life that you’d ignore if you could. There is no way to exploit an eclipse for your own best outcome, no way to insulate yourself from the change that it brings. While Friday might be particularly intense, its effects will continue to reveal themselves over the days and weeks ahead. The best thing to do is to ride the waves, to be open to whatever comes next.

Weekly Horoscope Aries

Aries Weekly Horoscope

You tend to be happiest when you’re able to put your fiery energy to work, when you’re striving and dreaming and setting plans in motion. It’s difficult to slow down and accept that even you need to rest. This week, remember that you don’t always have to try so hard to make each and every day beautiful and interesting. The earth will keep spinning and life will keep happening, even if all you do is sit back and wait. Sometimes, excitement comes without any effort at all, so let it.

Weekly Horoscope Taurus

Taurus Weekly Horoscope

It’s rare to feel like you really know what you’re doing with your life, to experience a strong and sure sense of direction. You can tell, without a doubt, when you’re not living the way you were really meant to — but as easy as it is to identify the wrong answers, it’s the challenge of a lifetime to find the right one. This week, though, you might come to understand yourself, your life, your purpose, in new ways. No matter how long you’ve been stuck in confusion, some surprising clarity may finally break through.

Weekly Horoscope Gemini

Gemini Weekly Horoscope

Most of the time, you’re skilled at mixing things up, at keeping your days fresh with new sights and sounds and experiences. But even you occasionally get stuck in a rut, dragged down by inertia, by the unending pressures of daily life. And when this happens, it can feel nearly impossible to break free, to regain your old sense of sparkling curiosity. This week, pay attention to the opportunities that present themselves. If you feel trapped, the world will offer you a way back into a rhythm that feels right for you.

Weekly Horoscope Cancer

Cancer Weekly Horoscope

During a long period of thankless hard work or dull repetition, it’s easy to find yourself getting jealous of those around you — not because of their achievements, but because their daily lives seem so much more vivid and interesting. You may begin to imagine that your own time for thrills has passed, that without even realizing it, you’ve become set in your ways, unable to move. If so, this week may show you how untrue that is. It’s never too late for growth, for surprise, for wild and lovely adventure.

Weekly Horoscope Leo

Leo Weekly Horoscope

When you feel change coming, you have a natural impulse to tighten your grip, plant your feet, and hold fast to exactly the life you have now. And for a time, it might be possible to forestall any major upheavals. Eventually, though, it’s inevitable: Cities evolve, and people grow up, and even your own feelings bend and shift. This week, you’ll be happier if you can let these transformations occur, if you can allow yourself the truth: In the end, they’ll make your life better than before.

Weekly Horoscope Virgo

Virgo Weekly Horoscope

When you get too stressed over all your responsibilities, it’s important to remember that you have the option of letting some of them go. It’s possible to thoughtfully let some of your duties, projects, collaborations lapse; you can always walk out of the spaces that bring you nothing but anxiety. A part of your mind might tell you that this is a failure, that there’s never a good reason to quit anything, but this week, you don’t have to listen to that voice. The time for self-sacrifice is over: You’re allowed to want more for yourself.

Weekly Horoscope Libra

Libra Weekly Horoscope

You’re incredibly adept at sensing what others want and giving it to them, at offering the precise kind of support or kindness or fun that the people you love need most. And so when your friends’ needs shift without warning, it can be destabilizing. When the patterns that have held relationships together fluctuate unexpectedly, you start to wonder what you have to offer. This week, try not to panic if the people you love are developing new interests, new plans. Your friends won’t forget about you, won’t suddenly stop caring. Relationships can change without breaking.

Weekly Horoscope Scorpio

Scorpio Weekly Horoscope

There are secrets you thought you would never reveal, feelings you thought you’d never speak of, ideas you thought you’d keep developing forever in the walled-off privacy of your own mind. It’s appealing, in a way, to imagine remaining a strange and self-contained mystery forever. This week, though, it becomes impossible to keep hiding away the best parts of yourself. Your ideas are growing beyond what you can contain, and this isn’t a bad thing. Let your thoughts bloom into action. The universe has the power to change you, but you have the power to change it, too.

Weekly Horoscope Sagittarius

Sagittarius Weekly Horoscope

Nobody can be intentional in their actions all the time. Sometimes, there’s only a split-second for decision-making: not enough time to think, only to react. Most of the time, though, it is possible to be thoughtful about the ways you move through the world. This week, even as your days become hectic, even though there’s always less time than you want, try to remember that there are still choices available to you. And the more you can base those choices not on what’s most convenient in the moment, but on what you actually want long-term, then there will be better days ahead.

Weekly Horoscope Capricorn

Capricorn Weekly Horoscope

Typically, you try to avoid sentimentality at all costs: Better to be rigorous, even to the point of harshness, than to risk getting muddled in naïve optimism. The trouble with this is that there are times, even in this hard world, when you are offered moments of genuine tenderness. Sometimes, love really does have the ability to surprise you. This week, certain relationships will prove themselves to be so solid that they’re worth the vulnerability, so meaningful that you can, at least for a moment, let your heart grow soft in spite of it all.

Weekly Horoscope Aquarius

Aquarius Weekly Horoscope

Sometimes, taking care of yourself can seem like an unworthy pursuit. Your sights are set on bigger targets, on mending or understanding or reimagining the universe. But this week, even if you’d prefer to be doing something grander, try focusing on the small, strange project of your own life. Try to eat and rest and dream as much as you need; try not to be so very hard on yourself. Trust that there are still big moments to come in your life, ones greater than anything you can imagine today, and that right now, your job is just to make it through.

Weekly Horoscope Pisces

Pisces Weekly Horoscope

Lately, your obligations feel more burdensome and draining than ever. Even the work you do because you want to — the creative projects that speak to your soul, or the care work you do out of pure, selfless love — can feel unrewarding. But even if your endeavors have felt like an unending slog, they still produce results that are vital, necessary, more beautiful than you realize in the moment. This week, at last, you might get some fresh new energy, and the affirmation that all of your long days of uncertainty have been worth it, after all.
