So, About Ye’s Serenade to Kim …

Each day is a new chapter in the never-ending saga that is Kimye. During last night’s “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert, hosted by Drake and Kanye West and dedicated to raising awareness for prison reform, Ye decided to perform a small serenade to Kim Kardashian West, who filed for divorce from Ye in February. A fine and normal part of any benefit concert!

In a new outro to his song “Runaway,” Ye sang, “I need you to run right back to me. / More specifically, Kimberly.” And yes, Kimberly was present. As was Kendall Jenner, Kendall’s boyfriend Devin Booker, Kris Jenner, Kris’s boyfriend Corey Gamble, and Kim and Kanye’s kids North and Saint. Also in attendance were Kylie Jenner’s ex Tyga as well as Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, who are close friends with Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. (MGK is also close friends with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Kim.) It was a whole family affair!

Kanye’s declaration, however out of place it may have seemed, certainly wasn’t anything new. He’s been very vocal about wanting to get back together with Kim since news of their split went public. During a recent podcast interview, Ye claimed, “I ain’t never even seen the papers. We’re not even divorced.” Back in August, they appeared to re-create their wedding during the Donda listening party in Chicago. However, it seems Kim wasn’t impressed with this latest plea: TMZ reports that she filed court documents on Friday asking a judge to make her legally single and restore her maiden name.

Meanwhile, Pete Davidson spent Thursday evening on The Tonight Show with Miley Cyrus, promoting their upcoming New Year’s Eve special and talking about their matching tattoos. Modern romance sure is strange.
