Various online sleuthing has revealed a lot about the 2021 Kardashian Christmas party: Cousins Penelope Disick and North West dyed their hair pink; Khloé Kardashian and her daughter True Thompson wore matching silver dresses; and Kourtney Kardashian invited her fiancé Travis Barker’s kids to the bash. One thing we don’t know: Where was Pete Davidson?
Kim and Pete have been reportedly dating for a couple months now, and though neither of them has confirmed their relationship, they’ve both hinted at it in interviews. Early reports suggested that the two weren’t going to see each other this Christmas, with People reporting that Pete had not met Kim’s four children yet. “Kim is celebrating Christmas with the kids and won’t see Pete,” said a source right before Christmas. And based on Kim’s own posts from the party, it doesn’t look like Pete was there. (Neither was her estranged husband and new neighbor Kanye West. Or if he was, he certainly did not pose for photos.)
But then came Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve party, which this year was scaled way down. Based on the Kardashian family’s various social-media posts, it looks like the party was kept to a few close friends, family, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and, wait, was that Pete Davidson’s mom standing in the background? On Christmas, Not Skinny But Not Fat podcaster Amanda Hirsch spotted an unidentified woman in the background of one of Khloé’s posts, speculating that she looked like Davidson’s mom. Us Weekly later confirmed that the woman was actually event planner Mindy Weiss, but other information might still point to Pete actually spending at least some part of Christmas with Kim.
First, photos of Davidson driving Kim’s car around Los Angeles were reportedly taken on Christmas Eve, so he was definitely in the area and close enough to Kim to borrow her car. Granted, she probably has multiple vehicles, so this doesn’t necessarily mean he was staying with her in L.A. She could have easily just loaned him one of her cars for the week or however long he’s in town for, but still, this definitely implies that the two at least saw each other on or around Christmas Eve. Either that, or he’s a really bad car thief.
Then on Sunday, December 26, Pete and Kim were reportedly spotted grabbing lunch at the Polo Lounge of the Beverly Hills Hotel — a place they’ve been seen before. All in all, it looks like Pete may not have celebrated Christmas with the Kardashians, but he definitely spent some quality time with Kim over the holidays.
Now the question is whether or not Kim will be going to Florida with Pete to watch him co-host Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party with Miley Cyrus. That is, if the live special isn’t canceled …
