In a new interview, Succession star Brian Cox said he was “too old, too tired, and too talented,” and, collectively the Internet has banded together to say, “same.”

Cox dropped this nugget of truth while speaking with Deadline about his new memoir, Putting the Rabbit in the Hat. The book apparently features enough celebrity gossip to put me out of a job, including Cox’s unfiltered opinions on projects (he turned down a role on Game of Thrones), actors (he thinks Johnny Depp is “so overrated”), and life lessons learned. And while I am endlessly grateful for his candor, it’s actually something he said about his decision to be so honest that has truly made me fall in love with him forever.

Speaking of his wide-ranging memoir in a recent interview, Cox was asked if he worried he was putting himself in a “vulnerable position” by dishing on his fellow actors, a move that no actor has ever been cool with ever. His response: “No, no. Listen, I’m too old, too tired, and too talented for any of that shit.” A-M-E-N.

Just like that, Cox has given me (and many other fans) a new life mantra. Not only does it have the perfect amount of DGAF-ness, it also works in every situation. Allow me to demonstrate: Are you scared you won’t get that big promotion you asked for? I’m too old, too tired, and too talented to care. Are you worried the guy you message on Hinge won’t message you back? I’m too old, too tired, and too talented for that shit. Could you please do the dishes? I’m too old, too tired, and too talented for that shit.

Now, if you need me, I’ll be busy being old, tired, and talented.
