On the eve of the Project Runway show in Bryant Park, mentor Tim Gunn identified more of his favorites from this week. He spoke fondly of the Parsons alums behind Proenza Schouler, praising the proportions of their separates and range in palette. He thought Cynthia Steffe’s new coats and jackets could look great with jeans or a cocktail dress. Tim didn’t care for some of Marc Jacobs’s looks but found much to admire in the designer: “This is as close as New York will ever be to the Paris and London collections; that is, provocative, conceptually challenging clothes of idiosyncratic construction. Bravo, Marc!”
