So far, buyers from Bergdorf Goodman, Bird, Henri Bendel, and Intermix have told us which runway looks they plan to snatch up for fall. Roopal Patel, women’s fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman, tells us her latest picks. Roopal will be stocking Marc Jacobs’s strapless dress, Thakoon’s rose-print pieces, and Oscar de la Renta’s cozy knits.

Marc Jacobs
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been to a Marc Jacobs show, you always leave breathless and full of emotion. Marc didn’t disappoint this season with his magnificent fall collection. The show opened with all 56 models featured as a still-life presentation. Each piece, whether it was a jacket, pant, bag, shoe, or hat, looked perfectly placed. My favorite looks included the opening one, with the belted coat and hat, the shiny patterned dress worn with a red-and-black hat, and the black strapless dress with leather gloves.

Thakoon
Thakoon Panichgul has really come into his own. His clothes are sure to be seen everywhere. His love of roses carried on from last season with silver velvet print pieces and a navy sequin rose dress. A chic olive-green satin jacket worn with navy leaf skirt looked darling. My favorite was the gray wool sweatshirt worn with the green feather skirt. You can already see this collection being worn in different cities around the world!

Oscar de la Renta
Oscar de la Renta’s collection is bound to be everywhere from Madison Avenue to the chalets of Gtsaad. Who else could make a houndstooth jacket in a cracked patent glaze, and make it look princess perfect? Cozy knits, a fur trimmed matelassé coat, and the most divine fuchsia column gown were the knockout looks.
