Sunday was a day for rising stars. Two of today’s biggest shows, Diane Von Furstenberg and Jonathan Saunders, opted for lesser-known brunettes to open their shows. DVF picked Regina Feoktistova to open her collection, and Jonathan Saunders sent Aline W. down the runway for his New York debut. Inversely, one of the day’s under-the-radar labels, Ohne Titel, racked up a surprisingly top-tier lineup, with Heidi Mount and Abbey Lee — two of the season’s most buzzed-about girls — opening and closing the procession, respectively. But opening DVF is major, and to do as a relative unknown is something special — so Regina, Sunday was your day. —Kendall Herbst
