For all of Fashion Week’s pretty clothes, we’re exhausted, and our under-eye circles are kinda ugly. But at least we’re not the only ones feeling a bit worn out. “You’re running all over town, and nobody’s thinking through how much time you spend in a taxi or car,” said Vogue queen bee Anna Wintour at Thursday’s 3.1 phillip lim show. “I wish somebody would sit there and make it a little bit more cohesive.” Nearby, International Herald Tribune fashion guru Suzy Menkes was so worn out she ended our interview seconds after it began: “I don’t think I really want to do this,” she said. “I’m not feeling very smart today.” But Barneys New York creative director Simon Doonan, however, saw a bright side to all the action. “It used to be rough when there were fewer shows because you had to go to all of them,” he said. “Now, paradoxically, there are so many that you can randomly pick eight or ten.”
On a totally different note, Doonan also had a post–Super Tuesday fashion tip for Hillary Clinton. “She could get more severe,” he said. “Her hair could get more Rosa Klebb.” Klebb, for what it’s worth, is the specter superspy Lotte Lenya played in From Russia With Love.
