Lindsay Lohan’s Leggings Line Sounds Fancy

We confess when we heard Lindsay Lohan was launching a leggings line, we instantly imagined neon and patterned nylons in plastic bags to be sold in outlet-mall sock stores. We were so wrong. WWD reports the line has been picked up by Fred Segal in L.A. But don’t fret! You can still get a pair online at RevolveClothing.com, which also stocked up on LiLo’s stretchy offerings. Called 6126 (not to be confused with 6267), fittingly named after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday, the line includes “footless tights cut out of Supima cotton and Modal ribbed knits and other fabrics spruced up with foil prints, yarn dyes and screen prints,” according to WWD. It also includes leg warmers and a foot accessory called the “ankle glove,” which we’re trying to decipher our feelings on.

The pieces wholesale from $20 to $75, which means certain items will retail for more than $100 — a far cry from sock-store sale bins, indeed. Further forcing us to take this whole project seriously, Lohan has also started a brand-development company called Stay Gold LLC with three other fashion and beauty professionals to help hawk the line. And we all know when there’s an “LLC” involved, more offerings are to come. We’re guessing makeup since one partner in the company was a founding member of Hard Candy and currently works with Smashbox, and we really could see EyeLoLiner or something in Sephora. Hey, if they can make ankle gloves happen at Fred Segal, they’re bound to make other stuff happen too.
