It’s no secret models who win America’s Next Top Model seldom go anywhere in the fashion industry. But Australia’s Next Top Model could be a different story: Since the five foot eleven Alice Burdeu took home the season-three prize last year, she’s landed the September 2007 and July 2008 covers of Australian Vogue. She also managed to rack up bookings in some major February shows in Europe and New York, walking for Proenza Schouler, Maison Martin Margiela, and Alexander McQueen. And she didn’t stop there! She was also chosen for D&G’s fall campaign alongside fellow redheads Olga Sherer and Martha Streck, shot by Mario Testino. Now that’s what we call a top model. Maybe there’s hope for the next winner of the American series? Meh, probably not.
