Ashley Dupré Eyed for Fashion-Magazine Spread

Ashley Dupré seems determined to infiltrate the fashion industry. After she crashed Yigal Azrouël’s show, causing him to fire Kelly Cutrone’s PR firm, People’s Revolution, the ex-call-girl continued her Fashion Week assault at the David Elfin show on Friday and the Buckler men’s presentation on Saturday. Cutrone hadn’t invited Dupré to Azrouël’s show, but didn’t turn her away when she showed up. Then again, how could she when she says things like this to WWD reporters: “I’ve always had a deep interest in fashion.” She added, “I used to be a big Yigal Azrouël fan, but not anymore.” We’d say that’s really her loss.

But Dupré shan’t stop her fashion forays once the tents are torn down. After a Valentine’s Day dinner at L’Ulivo in the West Village, Cutrone introduced Dupré to a top editor at an avant-garde fashion magazine. WWD reports that this mysterious editor “immediately expressed an interest in shooting her this week for an upcoming issue.” He whipped out a camera and took a few test shots right then and there, “with Dupré vamping like a pro.” Dupré is also plotting assaults on the music and publishing industries. Look for her album in a year. Some sort of memoir may be out to sate your Dupré appetite before then, in case this post hasn’t done that for the next eight months.
