If you’re a Giambattista Valli fanatic, then you’re probably familiar with newcomer Shelby Coleman. The freckled cutie’s big break came in 2007, when the designer discovered her at a trunk show in Chicago. Valli was so smitten with the 16-year-old that he made special arrangements for her to debut at his fall 2008 runway show as a worldwide exclusive. Since then, the all-American girl has been doing all things Giambattista, including modeling in his resort presentation and walking his pre-fall show in Florence last month. The Shelby love is catching — New York even booked the rising star for the forthcoming spring-fashion issue, shot by Tierney Gearon.
