People love boobs. And so does Allure magazine. The beauty bible channeled its inner Playboy, shooting five celebrities posing completely nude. But it’s tasteful. In the spread, which was released yesterday online, Padma Lakshmi stretches on a shaggy rug and confesses to loving the weight she’s put on because she now has fuller breasts. Lynn Collins sits at a kitchen table looking slightly uncomfortable, as we assume being naked in public would make you feel, while Chelsea Handler lounges cozily on a chaise. Sharon Leal shows off her curves while fingering a curtain of beads, and Eliza Dushku keeps it raw by admitting “I’ll strip down to my underwear and my Ugg boots when I eat lunch in my trailer.” Sanitary! It’s no secret that fashion loves to show some flesh and this is one way to up those plummeting ad numbers and quiet those pesky rumors of Allure’s impending demise. Regardless of all that, sex obviously sells and we like that Allure is taking some risks with its image.
