Sure, Sheep Meadow has its perks, but when summer in New York really heats up, we long for a lounge chair and a pool. Sadly, we can’t all finagle weekly trips to the Hamptons, and — at the other extreme — we’re wary of dodging kids at a public pool. For a warm-weather indulgence, Gravity Fitness and Spa is offering a Sunday deal. This summer, $150 gets you an hour-long massage or facial of your choice (usually $135 and $110, respectively), unlimited use of the high-tech fitness center (including our personal favorite of cardio machines with individual TV screens), and a full-day pass for the sprawling rooftop pool and sundeck (usually limited to guests), with sweeping views of Central Park. The pool is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., so make a day of it: Laze in the spa, soak up some sun, and (for a proper high-low experience) nosh on a poolside cheeseburger from Burger Joint, downstairs.
