Video: Donatella Versace on the Return of the Eighties

The one and only Donatella Versace recently spent a week in New York (which she calls the “most exciting city”) and sat down with New York fashion director Harriet Mays Powell to talk about the glorious eighties. The decade of decadence saw the birth of the Italian house and the rise of brother Gianni. And with the recent return of the era’s trends (disco dresses, neon, big shoulders), the label is back to doing what it does best: tight, sexy clothes. The designer has also teamed up with the Whitney Museum to promote art among children, and two lucky young tots’ work will be turned into bags. Find out more by watching the video.
