1,000 People Flock to Anna Wintour in Queens; Chris March to Do QVC Line

• Close to 1,000 people gathered around the second-floor escalators at Macy’s in Queens to see Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Kate Hudson last night. Macy’s sold more than half of its 6,000 Fashion’s Night Out tees by 5 p.m. [NYT]

• Designers like Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta are experimenting with less-expensive fabrics to bring down their prices. “I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Wang said, referring to the future of prestigious labels. “It’s going to be a world of crêpe de Chine.” [NYT]
