The new West Village outpost of trend-dispensing menswear boutique Odin opens today at 750 Greenwich Street. The 650-square-foot spot (which formerly housed Oliver Spencer) is decked out in what has become a familiar old-timey haberdasher style, with stacks of weathered trunks, dark wood detailing, an apothecary bar, and antique display cases (see also: the J.Crew Men’s shops, the new Tommy Hilfiger flagship, rag & bone). The current stock includes Odin favorites like Florsheim by Duckie Brown shoes, Shipley & Halmos, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Richard Chai, as well as new merchandise like top hats and bowlers by Engineered Garments. Swing by the shop’s fragrance bar late next month to test out the new Odin scents: Nomad (juniper berries and cedar leaves), Owari (grapefruit leaves, green bergamot, mandarin), and Century (silver birch, cypress, forest mint).
