• State Senator Jeffrey Klein drafted legislation to ban fish pedicures — a treatment that uses small fish to eat away dead skin on the feet — in New York State on the grounds that they are “dirty and dangerous and a serious risk to one’s health,” Klein said in a statement. “Women may think it’s the latest in luxury nail treatment but it’s not.” If legislation passes, New York will be the fifteenth state to ban it.
