How Much Longer Will Lindsay Lohan Last at Ungaro?

As Lindsay Lohan’s reign at Emanuel Ungaro slogs on, Mounir Moufarrige seemingly remains the only person with a trace of (perhaps feigned) confidence in her. Critics panned the spring 2010 collection, Emanuel Ungaro himself is distraught over her employment, and department stores aren’t buying the clothes. Today “Page Six” reports that Ungaro chairman Asim Abdullah is battling with Moufarrige over her dismissal.

“Asim wants her out now,” a fashion insider who has seen e-mails between the two executives tells Page Six. “Department stores in the States have already told him they won’t be picking up the line if Lohan remains a collaborator, so it’s a serious issue.”

What a mess. Lindsay’s a mess, Lindsay’s home is a mess, the label is a mess, Moufarrige is a mess. To be fair, it was his decision to hire her. Maybe it was part of his eccentric-fashion-person act, but that’s not to say there shouldn’t be consequences for his poor choice.
