Last year may have been the year of nails, but 2010 is all about lips, as many beauty companies are turning their attention to dressing up your kisser. Dolce & Gabbana’s hopping right on the lip-love trend with its new Roses Collection, which contains five fresh hues inspired by the romantic flower. Pat McGrath concocted the colors, spanning from an apricot-peach tint for Shine On to a deep pink for Fascination. There’s also a nude pink named Baby Darling and an intense mauve red named Magnifica. But for the traditional rose color, pick Scarlett, inspired by the classic color and named after Scarlett Johansson, the face of the collection. The timing can’t be better, as the release coincides with the first-year anniversary of the brand’s launch into cosmetics, and the lipsticks will be out just in time for Valentine’s Day so they make cute little gifts (they’ll be on the counters within the next two weeks). Time to pucker up.
