Pharrell Williams Wants to Be in a Lanvin Campaign; Venus Williams Wore Flesh-Colored Shorts

• When Pharrell Williams was backstage at the Lanvin menswear show this weekend, he told designer Alber Elbaz that he wanted to design luggage for the label or star in one of its campaigns. [WWD]

• Venus Williams’s outfit at the Australian Open caused some debate. The tennis superstar wore shorts under her dress that were the same color as her skin, so every time her dress flew up it looked like she wore nothing underneath. She said the outfit was one of her favorites and she needed the shorts for the full effect. [NYDN]

• Ex–Nina Ricci designer Olivier Theyskens posed for a fashion spread in the latest issue of the bi-annual Paris, LA magazine. [WWD]

• The Olsen twins launched a website for their fashion line The Row, which is expected to include an online store in the future. On designing the website, Ashley said, “I have to admit we’re not that tech-savvy, but we’re constantly learning and discovering new things on the Web.” And Mary-Kate: “It was a very hands-on experience, which I didn’t expect — it felt more like making a beautiful collage than a Web site team. • The lingerie company Eberjey collaborated with Ann Taylor to create a collection of lingerie for the store. The line of daywear and underwear is named Bluebird by Eberjey for Ann Taylor, and debuts at Ann Taylor stores and online this week. [WWD]
