A reporter from the L.A. Times recently went to view Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 line in a showroom. Lohan — surprise, surprise — wasn’t there, but she appears in the look book for the line, modeling things like thigh-high boots and a sequin leotard-jumpsuit, which probably only qualifies as apparel depending on who you ask (Beyoncé? Yes. Anyone else? Maybe not). You see, leggings aren’t the only thing Lohan can design anymore. After her stint at Emanuel Ungaro, a real high-fashion label, she’s primed to make all kinds of groundbreaking things to wear; her 280-piece fall collection includes hoodies, cardigans, and minidresses ideal for clubbing in L.A., with prices ranging from $60 to $1,000.
The rep on the scene said Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Ron Herman have all bought the collection, the meat and potatoes of which is still leggings. “Lindsay really started the legging trend,” the sales rep said. Though the line has been successful, perhaps she could improve her sales strategy. Nothing turns fashion-inclined people off more than someone trying to take total credit for a trend.
