French Elle and Harper’s Bazaar have published unretouched, makeupless spreads. The women they shot, including supermodels like Cindy Crawford and actresses like Monica Bellucci, are beautiful without that stuff anyway, and the resulting photos were predictably stunning. French Marie Claire is the latest magazine to boast retouch-free photos. They say all photos in the entire April issue, excluding ads, are unretouched. Will the images reveal flaws, such as cellulite, muffin top, and armpit fat, and prove that in some ways models and pretty celebrities really are just like us? Not really.
