Target Sets September Release Date for Tucker by Gaby Basora Collaboration

Target confirmed the release dates of its next two designer collaboration lines for its Go series, which spotlights young designers. Designer Gaby Basora of Tucker, which is known for its prints and blouses, will release a line of coats, dresses, and lingerie on September 10. Earlier rumors said the line would launch this summer, but seeing how the retailer pushed it back to the very same day as Anna & Co.’s Fashion’s Night Out, perhaps Target plans to hype the occasion with FNO events. Like a New York pop-up shop! Target loves to open those in New York, and it would be nice, since Basora opened and closed a Tucker store in the Lower East side last year.

Target also announced a partnership with Temple St. Clair Carr of the jewelry line Temple St. Clair. Carr uses a lot of gold, diamonds, and gems in her designs, so it will be interesting to see how she tailors her aesthetic for the mass market when her collection hits stores on August 29.

And, don’t forget, Zac Posen’s Target collection goes on sale tonight in New York (and everywhere else next week) at the 24-hour pop-up. Review the collection here.
