In less than a year, 16-year-old Kirsi Pyrhonen made quite the impression on fashion’s leading tastemakers. The Finnish model made her catwalk debut opening the fall 2010 Ann-Sofie Back show in London. She then booked an exclusive for Prada in Milan, and finished Paris Fashion Week with slots on the runways of Haider Ackermann, Givenchy, and Loewe. While her runway bookings were perhaps less impressive than those of some of her peers, those select gigs put Kirsi at the top of Steven Meisel’s personal list of favorites. He shot Kirsi for this month’s cover of Italian Vogue, and alongside Stella Tennant and Karen Elson for Balenciaga’s fall ad campaign. Touché, Kirsi, Touché.
