Ke$ha, fashion maven that she is, will design two Baby-G watches for Casio, making her the latest in a long line of interesting, sudden celebrity-designer crossovers. The 23-year-old pop star is performing at the Manhattan Center tonight to announce herself as “brand ambassador,” but the watches won’t come out until next summer. Uh-oh! “Your Love Is My Drug” might have been the best tune to hit the airwaves last June, but if Ke$ha doesn’t repeat that success a year from now, her watch line (cheetah-print-and-pink, perhaps?) might actually have to speak for itself.
