Designed for the red-carpet-bound (or simply bar-bound) woman, the forthcoming Marchesa x Le Métier de Beauté beauty collaboration includes credit-card-size eye, cheek, lip, and face palettes, eight shades of double-ended lip glosses, and highlighting pens, all priced between $38 and $65. The cosmetics line parallels Marchesa’s fall 2010 RTW line, boasting bold colors and sheer golden shades. Even the silver packaging is an homage to a Marchesa dress worn by Sandra Bullock.
Joanna Austin, president of Le Métier de Beauté, could not be more psyched. “It was a collaboration in the most literal sense of the word,” she says. “We worked closely with Georgina [Chapman] and Keren [Craig, of Marchesa] — they were integral in the creation of the entire collection.” Austin also hints at more collabs to come: “We anticipate future collections and a long-lasting creative partnership.” The line will be available September 10 (Fashion’s Night Out!) exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman.
