Sounds Like the Isabella Blow Biopic Involving John Galliano and Philip Treacy Really Is Happening

Filmmakers working on the movie about the late Isabella Blow’s life have optioned the biography her ex-assistant Laura Goldstein Crowe wrote, Isabella Blow: A Life in Fashion, coming out November 9, to use as background. Swedish filmmaker Anders Palm is producing and hired Goldstein Crowe as a consultant; the screenplay for the project has already been written by Nicola Brighton and Max Newsom. Blow’s friends milliner Philip Treacy and designer John Galliano are going to have some involvement with the movie, too, but it’s unclear in what capacity, WWD reports. André Leon Talley previously reported that Galliano would play himself in the movie and made it sound like Treacy has some hand in picking out who will play Isabella. Talley said that Treacy had a “major new talent” in mind, but it’s a good question: Who should play Isabella Blow onscreen?
