Fresh from his BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund nomination, British designer Christopher Kane is launching his first-ever menswear line as a capsule collection for London retailer Dover Street Market next week. Regarding his inspiration, Kane explained, “I became obsessed with the explosions and landscapes from space pictures.” Like his womenswear, the designs will consist of lots of neon-colored knits and cashmere; there’s also plenty of black leather, particularly in the form of tailored shorts, black suit jackets with zipper details, and patched hoodies.
