Alberta Ferretti Will Have ‘Real’ Women Model Her Collection at Pitti Uomo

For her runway show at Pitti Uomo on January 11, designer Alberta Ferretti will forgo models in favor of sending “real” women down the catwalk in her designs. Granted, the women she’s cast are hardly average-looking: The lineup includes genetically blessed socialites and former models like Camilla Belle, Marpessa, and Carmen Dell’ Orefice. But Ferretti will also sprinkle in a few as-yet-unnamed ladies who — imagine! — actually have real jobs, including a lawyer, a psychologist, and even a blogger. Times are a-changing, indeed. [WWD]
