Badgley Mischka designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka announced today that the ads for their spring 2011 collection will star Rumer Willis, the 22-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and star of cinematic gems such as The House Bunny and Sorority Row (she has also been cast alongside Kristin Cavallari in the forthcoming film Wild Cherry, apparently). While this is Willis’s first major ad campaign, she has had some prior experience in the apparel industry, having served in 2008 as the spokesperson for Ocean Pacific, a clothing line sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.
Badgley and Mischka released a statement about their new face today:
We adore Rumer, she is glamorous, youthful and fun…[she] captures the spirit of all of our spring collections, especially our newly launched Mark + James collection.
The print ads are set to drop in March, and will feature Willis modeling footwear, swimwear, and evening gowns. While Willis is, needless to say, a somewhat unexpected choice for the label, they’ve been known for starring celebrities in their campaigns before: The Olsen twins modeled for them in 2006 (when they were only 20), and they’ve also featured Sharon Stone and Eva Longoria.
