Karl Lagerfeld did a video interview with the Telegraph’s Hilary Alexander today, in which he revealed a number of things, including his recent discovery that navy is more flattering on camera than black. Also of note:
1. Hilary Alexander rocks a fabulous furry hat throughout the interview.
2. You can see glimpses of the new Chanel couture collection, which includes black ribbon chokers, floaty tiered tulle skirts, pointy-toed black flats, and sequined skinny pants.
3. Lagerfeld is late all the time: “It’s not because I am rude or lazy. It’s only because when I am with somebody I forget to look at my watch, so when you start to be late in the morning, you are late all day, because it is one thing after the other.”
4. On what he’s reading: “Most of the books are too pretentious to talk about. I don’t want an intellectual image. I’m a fashion person.”
