Last night after the Altuzarra show at Mac & Milk, we sidled up to French Vogue’s new editor Emmanuelle Alt as she made her way out of the venue. Yesterday was her first day at Fashion Week, and she said she enjoyed the shows she saw, including Alexander Wang, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and Altuzarra. “I saw great shows today,” she said. “I really liked all the eveningwear [at Altuzarra] and all the grungy stuff at the beginning. I think it’s photogenic.” Alt also loved Altuzarra’s shoes, which came with interestingly placed pieces of fur on their straps, and the shades at Alexander Wang, which came with fur lanyards. “I like that there is hair everywhere. They’re all doing stuff with hair — it’s funny.” Alt will stay in town for the remainder of New York Fashion Week, and then go from here directly to London Fashion Week.
