At last night’s “Heartbeats” premiere at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York, Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon discussed making puffy leather jackets happen. “I love outerwear. It’s one of my favorite things ever. I’ve been looking for a puffy leather jacket for a while. It’s a mid-nineties, late-nineties New York moment.” He feels similarly about undergarments. “I love long underwear … silk long underwear à la Patagonia.” Presumably, all these layers will come in handy should he take a tumble during Fashion Week, as he has a history of doing. “I’ve fallen down [outside a show],” he said. “If you fall, laugh really hard and make sure everyone around you laughs too.”
