Today’s Rag & Bone menswear show was a mélange of English hunting influences mixed in with a tad of collegiate Americana. Red tartan suits, short riding pants, and riding boots were balanced out with varsity jackets. “We’ve always done the blend,” explains a jubilant Marcus Wainwright post-show. “We live in New York, but at the end of the day we’re English. We started the company here and we make nearly all of our clothes in Brooklyn. We try not to do literal looks like a full kilt suit. Our theme was England and the duke of Windsor and game keepers and deer stalking, and they wear kilts. And we thought, why not? Kilts are cool.”
