The blog Fashionista recently reported a rumor that Blake Lively wouldn’t go to the Chanel show — a brand for which she is a spokesmodel — because she “thinks it’s tacky for a celebrity like herself” to go to these things. Odd — if she thought that was tacky, why would she be their purse ambassador in the first place? So last night at the fancy dinner Chanel had in Paris to inaugurate her spokeswoman-ship, Lively personally confronted a reporter from the site. “Why would you do that to me?” she said. “That’s just mean.” Lively’s publicist told Daily Front Row the real reason she isn’t going to the show is because she has to film Gossip Girl. “It’s killing her!” the publicist said. But of course there will be a next time — Lively can just pull a dream or possibility, maybe both, out of her Chanel purse.
