Michelle Obama wore a striped blouse from Diane Von Furstenberg’s 2011 spring collection while touring the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the label announced in a press release. It’s the first time she’s worn DVF since the CFDA lamented in January her choice of a McQueen gown for the state dinner with Chinese president Hu Jintao. Of course, Diane has since said she’s “embarrassed” about that whole thing, so maybe now that Michelle is wearing her DVF loud and proud we can put a fork in this whole mess.
